Senior Accounting Specialist - Accounts Payable

About the role

Sisal Sans, which provides services in the retail and digital sectors and holds a 10-year authorization to carry out games of chance in Turkey, is looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist focused on Accounts Payable. The role supports accounting operations, keeps financial records accurate and contributes to efficient financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record supplier invoices and expenses accurately and on time
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation in line with regulations
• Prepare period-end accruals and perform account reconciliations, including supplier accounts and personnel accounts
• Process payroll accruals and reconcile personnel accounts
• Monitor provision accounts and support tax declarations by preparing draft tax returns for management review
• Work with internal departments to ensure accounting processes run accurately and on schedule
• Complete manager-assigned tasks accurately and within deadlines

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 7-8 years of professional accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage several priorities under tight deadlines
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required; military service must be completed or postponed for male candidates

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications
• SMMM certification is required
