Senior Associate - International Arbitration

About the role

Tahan | Cem is strengthening its international disputes practice and is looking for a Senior Associate with 5-7 years of experience in international arbitration. The successful candidate will join a growing team advising leading Turkish and international clients on high-value, cross-border disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as counsel in institutional and ad hoc arbitration proceedings (ICC, LCIA, ICSID, ISTAC, UNCITRAL).
• Manage all stages of arbitral proceedings, including case strategy, drafting submissions, evidence management and procedural coordination.
• Advise clients on dispute avoidance, settlement considerations and pre-arbitral strategies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on complex cross-border disputes.
• Advise domestic and international clients on commercial disputes, particularly in construction and infrastructure where relevant.
• Contribute to client briefings, legal publications and the development of the firm's international disputes practice.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in international arbitration, with demonstrable hands-on involvement in arbitral proceedings.
• Experience in cross-border disputes or foreign-law-governed matters.
• Experience in construction arbitration, construction law or FIDIC contracts is an asset.
• Willingness and availability to travel internationally without restrictions.
