Senior Audit Associate – Remote (US‑Based)

About the role

Manay CPA is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to lead audit engagements for U.S. clients while working remotely from Turkey. You will deepen your expertise in US GAAP, audit standards, and tax regulations across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onboarding of new audit clients, design workflows, and ensure smooth transitions.
• Manage day‑to‑day audit tasks: risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, work‑paper preparation, and completion of audit programs.
• Review and guide junior staff, conduct substantive testing, analytical procedures, and prepare audit schedules and management letters.
• Research complex accounting and regulatory issues and provide practical solutions.
• Support U.S. federal and state compliance, including year‑end reporting and filing.
• Participate in bookkeeping, tax return preparation, and financial reporting outside peak audit season.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in auditing, accounting or tax, with public accounting or external audit background.
• Experience leading fieldwork and mentoring junior staff.
• Comfortable working across audit, accounting and tax engagements.
• Turkish CPA (SMMM) or Turkish Sworn‑in CPA (YMM) license strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency with audit/accounting software, specifically Thomson Reuters Engagement.
• Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS (training provided).
• Strong written and verbal communication in Business English.
