Senior Backend Engineer – Node.js & System Design

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our global engineering team building scalable digital products. The role focuses on Node.js backend development, system design and ownership of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for multiple applications.
• Contribute to system design and overall software architecture.
• Take ownership of backend components and ensure their reliability.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and frontend teams (Next.js or Flutter).
• Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standards and security policies.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Node.js and building scalable backend systems.
• Proven system design and software architecture skills.
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases and backend engineering principles.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/Aurora and Terraform.
• Strong English communication and ability to work in a global remote team.
