Senior Budget Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Budget Associate to join its finance team in Ankara. The role supports the organization’s mission by ensuring effective budgeting, financial management and compliance with internal and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Resource Management Officer and National Budget Officer in preparing, monitoring and reporting the annual budget.
• Conduct financial management activities, including budgeting, systems review and treasury operations.
• Perform accounting tasks, manage banking relationships and support cash flow monitoring.
• Analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare financial reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with six years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, accounting, banking and treasury.
• Fluency in English and Turkish.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong internet research and computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
