Senior IT Audit Manager

About the role

The Senior IT Audit Manager will lead IT and technology audit engagements across multiple countries and business sectors for a global industrial conglomerate. This role assesses technology risks, evaluates control effectiveness, and contributes to the annual IT risk assessment and audit plan.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Chief Audit Officer in preparing clear, risk‑focused IT audit reports, executive summaries and technology risk dashboards for senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Lead the execution of the annual IT Audit Plan, ensuring independent, objective audits of technology, cybersecurity and operational technology.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of controls across IT governance, infrastructure, cloud, cyber defence, IAM, business continuity, and third‑party technology risk.
• Assess compliance with GDPR, KVKK, NIS2 and other local and international technology regulations.
• Identify control deficiencies, cybersecurity vulnerabilities and process inefficiencies, recommending high‑impact remediation actions.
• Collaborate with CIO, CISO and business‑unit technology leaders on emerging risks such as AI, automation, cloud transformation and IoT.
• Advance data‑analytics, continuous auditing and automated control‑testing methodologies throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop members of the IT audit team, supporting technical expertise and professional qualifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, MIS, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• CISA certification required; additional certifications (CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CEH, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor) are strong advantages.
• At least 10 years of IT audit, governance or cybersecurity assurance experience, including 5+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience in a multinational industrial group, preferably in critical infrastructure sectors such as ports, logistics, energy, heavy industry or mining.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IT governance frameworks: COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, ITIL.
• Understanding of IT general controls, application controls, network and infrastructure security, cloud environments, IAM and OT/SCADA security.
• Experience with data‑analytics tools and computer‑assisted audit techniques: SQL, Python, ACL, Power BI.
• Familiarity with audit management and GRC platforms.
