Senior IT Engineer – Software Testing Lead

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a Senior IT Engineer with deep expertise in software testing and quality assurance to lead testing activities for complex customer applications. The role combines hands‑on testing with coordination of a testing team, ensuring high‑quality delivery and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate software testing activities, including functional and non‑functional testing, to meet quality and schedule targets.
• Design test cases, execute tests, manage defects, and produce comprehensive test reports.
• Plan and prioritize testing workloads, monitor daily progress, and guide team members.
• Collaborate with customers, development teams, and other technical groups to resolve issues and align on requirements.
• Identify opportunities for test automation, process optimisation, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience in software testing and quality assurance within complex IT environments.
• Previous experience in a Test Lead, Team Lead, or similar coordination role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset focused on quality and operational efficiency.
