Senior Legal Counsel – Turkey

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advice to senior and executive management at FedEx in Turkey. The role involves handling complex legal, regulatory and commercial matters across the company’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic counsel on high‑impact legal and business issues to senior leadership.
• Support both generalist and specialist legal matters within the assigned business remit.
• Lead or contribute to regional, corporate or international projects, including M&A, expansions and large‑scale investments.
• Identify, assess and advise on legal, regulatory, commercial and operational risks, monitoring emerging market developments.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research, prepare recommendations, reports and business cases for executive stakeholders.
• Develop, communicate and enforce departmental policies, procedures and tools.
• Build effective relationships with internal leaders, external advisors, government authorities and trade associations.
• Ensure compliance with FedEx processes, relevant legislation and external regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• 5–10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably advising senior stakeholders on complex regulatory and commercial matters.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, plan work on a quarterly basis and develop departmental policies.
• High attention to detail and strategic mindset with solid business acumen.
