Senior MEAL Associate (AAP)

About the role

The Senior MEAL Associate (AAP) will support the mission in Gaziantep by leading the development, implementation and monitoring of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) processes. The role ensures that feedback mechanisms are functional, data is collected and analysed, and findings inform programme decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the development and implementation of the mission’s AAP plans.
• Oversee the complaints and feedback mechanism, ensuring timely response and documentation.
• Conduct capacity‑building activities related to AAP for staff and partners.
• Perform monitoring visits to assess the roll‑out of AAP processes and report findings.
• Plan, coordinate, implement and report on project‑level monitoring, risk management and learning activities.
• Produce high‑quality monitoring evidence to support adaptive programme management.
• Ensure timely delivery of MEAL services across assigned projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or high‑school diploma with six years of experience.
• Strong social commitment and ability to work in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments.
• Minimum four years of experience in monitoring and reporting in emergency or conflict contexts, using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
