Senior Mechanical Project & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems for a new greenfield medical manufacturing facility. The role covers the full project lifecycle from concept through startup and ongoing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evaluate HVAC, cleanroom HVAC, chillers, AHUs, boilers, steam, condensate, compressed air, water and process utility systems.
• Manage procurement, bid evaluation, supplier assessment and FAT for critical equipment.
• Inspect and supervise site installations, ensure compliance with specifications, standards and quality requirements.
• Lead commissioning, SAT, functional testing and handover of mechanical systems.
• Develop and maintain as‑built documentation and technical records.
• Plan and execute preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Monitor energy consumption and drive efficiency projects.
• Supervise third‑party service contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in industrial plants, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or similar sectors.
• Hands‑on experience with greenfield plant investments and large‑scale CAPEX projects.
• Proven track record in mechanical design, site implementation and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GxP, ISO 13485 and occupational health & safety regulations.
