Senior Medical Lead

About the role

The Senior Medical Lead will provide strategic medical leadership for GSK's Innovative Specialty portfolio in Turkey. The role combines portfolio planning, scientific engagement, and launch readiness, with roughly 50% of time spent in field‑based, non‑promotional activities across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously optimise local medical strategies and plans for assigned innovative assets.
• Lead medical launch readiness planning, ensuring organisational preparedness and scientific excellence.
• Conduct field‑based scientific engagement activities, covering disease awareness, education and unmet medical needs.
• Identify evidence gaps and support evidence‑generation initiatives, including real‑world data projects.
• Provide strategic medical leadership throughout the asset lifecycle, from pipeline to post‑launch management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, offering independent scientific perspectives to inform portfolio decisions.

Required profile

• University degree in Medicine.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Medical Affairs.
• Strong scientific knowledge with ability to interpret clinical, epidemiological and real‑world evidence.
• Proven track record of building trusted relationships with external experts and healthcare professionals.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams and contributing to strategic discussions.
• Good understanding of the Turkish healthcare system, regulatory environment and reimbursement landscape.
• Fluency in Turkish and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to spend ~50% of time in the field, including regular travel across Turkey.
