Senior Platform Engineer (100% Remote within Türkiye)

About the role

Docplanner, a practice management platform used by doctors in 13 countries, is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer based in Türkiye. The role owns the infrastructure behind the Turkish products: running production Kubernetes workloads on AWS, migrating relational databases from RDS to databases on EKS, and operating the PHP.NET and Node.js applications. It is 100% remote within Türkiye.

Key responsibilities

• Run the Kubernetes platform: node lifecycle, upgrades, autoscaling (HPA, KEDA, Karpenter), resource policy, networking, deployment and observability.
• Lead the migration of databases from RDS to EKS, including replication, cutover with a tested rollback, backups and point-in-time recovery to S3.
• Own compliance evidence: data residency, encryption, secrets, backups and audit artefacts required by the Ministry of Health.
• Keep PHP.NET and Node.js workloads highly available with zero-downtime deployments, DB-safe releases and graceful shutdown.
• Manage GitOps delivery with Argo CD, including rolling, blue-green and canary deployments and environment promotion.
• Design and debug networking: ingress, cross-cluster and cross-VPC communication, and controlled egress to Ministry systems.
• Build observability with Datadog: SLOs, alerts, APM, database monitoring and audit-grade logging.
• Operate the databases after migration and automate with infrastructure as code.

Required profile

• 5+ years operating production infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, having run stateless and stateful workloads in production; ideally at least one production Kubernetes operator.
• Strong AWS knowledge (EKS, networking, storage, identity, multi-AZ design) or similar cloud experience.
• Experience with autoscaling (KEDA, Karpenter or similar), GitOps (Argo CD, flux), networking, observability (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and security (encryption, secrets management).
• Comfortable with relational databases and daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code or similar).
• Professional English (B2+) and native Turkish.
