Senior Professor of Hotel Management

About the role

The Senior Professor of Hotel Management will deliver industry‑driven education to undergraduate, postgraduate and executive students, blending academic rigor with extensive hospitality leadership experience. The role focuses on preparing future hospitality leaders through experiential learning, real‑world case studies and applied business projects.

Key responsibilities

• Teach modules covering hotel operations, rooms division, front office, hospitality strategy, technology and performance management.
• Design lesson plans, simulations, case studies and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
• Mentor and advise students, supervise capstone projects, dissertations and consulting assignments.
• Develop and continuously update curriculum to reflect emerging trends such as AI, sustainability, revenue optimisation and digital guest experience.
• Maintain strong industry links, organise guest speakers, company visits, internships and represent the institution at hospitality conferences.
• Contribute to academic quality assurance and programme improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive executive experience in hotel management or related hospitality operations.
• Proven track record of teaching at university level or in executive education.
• Strong academic credentials (PhD or equivalent) in hospitality, tourism or related field.
• Ability to mentor students and support their professional development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel technology systems and property management software.
• Familiarity with data analytics and AI applications in hospitality.
• Experience designing business simulations and experiential learning activities.
