Senior Tax & Accounting Specialist

About the role

Unifree Duty Free is seeking an experienced Senior Tax & Accounting Specialist to oversee tax compliance and accounting processes across its duty‑free operations. You will work closely with internal finance teams and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and support month‑end and year‑end activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage monthly intercompany transactions, tax compliance, and filing of Withholding Tax, VAT, Stamp Tax, and Corporate Income Tax.
• Review balance‑sheet and profit‑and‑loss accounts from a tax perspective, provide guidance, and reconcile tax accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, prepare quarterly and annual corporate income tax returns, and coordinate tax audits.
• Conduct tax research, monitor legislative changes, and advise internal stakeholders on tax implications of contracts and overseas invoices.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Administration or Finance (master’s degree is a plus).
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting and tax operations, preferably with Big Four exposure.
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and ability to collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of SAP FI and SAP MM modules.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Tax knowledge and experience with tax accounting.
• CPA (SMMM) license is an asset.
