Software Development Team Lead

About the role

Nakitera is looking for a Software Development Team Lead to drive the design and delivery of high‑performance backend services for its fintech platform. You will lead a group of backend engineers, shape technical direction, and ensure the platform meets the demanding needs of payment and financial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of backend engineers, fostering technical excellence.
• Define and drive architectural decisions for microservices‑based systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high‑performance backend services and APIs.
• Integrate payment and financial services, overseeing messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Promote engineering best practices, including clean code, design principles, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalability, and lead incident resolution.
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and recruitment activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on team leadership experience.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving abilities.
