Solution/Software Architect

About the role

BGTS is seeking a Solution/Software Architect to join a client’s payment technology team in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. The position is hybrid, combining on‑site collaboration with remote work. You will be responsible for designing and leading the implementation of a high‑volume payment gateway platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end architecture for a payment gateway, covering transaction processing, settlement, and reporting.
• Lead technical decision‑making and guide development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Integrate global payment providers such as Stripe and Adyen into the platform.
• Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of high‑volume payment flows.
• Collaborate with product, compliance and operations teams to align technical solutions with business requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing or architecting payment gateway solutions within a payment institution or technology company.
• Deep understanding of payment flows, transaction lifecycle, refunds, chargebacks, tokenization and recurring payments.
• Demonstrated ability to design complex, high‑throughput payment systems.
• Hands‑on experience with integrations to Stripe, Adyen or similar platforms.
