Staff Compliance Engineer – Test and Certification

About the role

The Staff Compliance Engineer – Test and Certification will play a key technical role in New Product Development, supporting products from concept through testing, certification and launch. You will work on international projects, collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams and external laboratories.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product safety, compliance and certification activities for new and sustainment projects.
• Develop and execute safety and performance test plans, including electrical safety, EMC, environmental and mechanical testing.
• Partner with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Quality and Test Engineering teams to identify and resolve compliance risks.
• Coordinate testing and certification with third‑party labs, certification bodies, suppliers and contractors.
• Analyse test data and product failures, provide root‑cause recommendations and support regulatory audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years experience in electrical engineering, product safety, compliance, testing or certification.
• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles for environmental, vibration/shock, thermal and mechanical safety testing.
• General proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Electrical safety and EMC testing.
• Use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and power analysers.
• Knowledge of IEC 60601‑1 and IEC 60601‑1‑2 standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 14971 risk management, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
