Sustainability Consultant

About the role

Semtrio, a B Corp certified sustainability consultancy offering services in sustainability reporting, corporate sustainability strategy and ESG rating consultancy, is looking for a Sustainability Consultant to help shape sustainability strategies across various industries. The role is based in Istanbul (preferably on the Anatolian side) and requires a hybrid working model; remote work is not available.

Key responsibilities

• Guide companies across sectors in creating and implementing effective sustainability strategies
• Use digital tools and technology to improve sustainability practices
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Stay informed on industry trends and adopt best practices
• Apply solid knowledge of sustainability management, ESG initiatives and corporate reporting
• Be familiar with global frameworks such as CSRD, IFRS, TSRS, CDP, GRI, ISO 14001 and ISO 14064
• Learn and thrive in a start-up environment

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Strong written and spoken English
• Experienced candidates: minimum 3 years in climate strategy, sustainability consulting or a related field
• Recent graduates or early-career professionals: a strong willingness to learn is highly valued
• Ability to conduct customer and site visits within and outside Istanbul

Required skills

• Knowledge of GHG protocols, carbon footprinting and water management
• Experience with CDP, SBTi and TCFD frameworks
• Stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to turn complex environmental data into actionable strategies
