Talent, Learning & Performance Senior Manager

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Talent, Learning & Performance Senior Manager to act as a strategic partner to market and business leaders. The role owns the short- and long-term plan for capability, learning, performance and talent across a defined area, turning business priorities into measurable talent, leadership and capability solutions across the Vodafone Learning Organisation and HR Centres of Expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and HR directors to identify performance challenges, critical skills and future workforce requirements, and align people development priorities
• Build and own an inclusive talent and skills plan aligned with business objectives, transformation and growth priorities
• Lead learning, upskilling/reskilling, academies, leadership, high-potential and talent acceleration initiatives
• Strengthen talent processes such as performance management, talent reviews, career development, succession planning and pipelines for critical roles
• Enable leaders to build high-performing teams through coaching, feedback, development planning and accelerated experiences
• Facilitate cross-functional, cross-market and international development opportunities and retain critical talent
• Lead business cases for new skills, programmes and learning services, and manage external learning providers, coaches and partners where required
• Drive a learning and performance culture, own the performance/development cycle and champion continuous, self-directed learning
• Use AI, learning technologies and talent, learning and performance data to generate insights, inform investment decisions and measure impact
• Evaluate interventions, lead corrective actions and close capability gaps
• Build strategic partnerships across business, market/functional HR and expert teams, and lead and coach a high-performing learning and development team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, HR Business Partnering or related people disciplines
• Proven leadership of impactful change in complex, matrix and international organisations
• Demonstrated experience across performance management, talent reviews, leadership development, career development and succession planning
• Strong consulting, stakeholder influence and relationship management skills, including with senior leaders, Centres of Expertise and external partners
• Data-driven mindset and proven programme/project management skills
• Fluent written and spoken English

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office
• Understanding of future skills, skills-based development, digital learning ecosystems and AI-enabled learning solutions
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, coaching and group dynamics skills
