Tax Specialist

About the role

Kraft Heinz Turkey is looking for a Tax Specialist to join its Controlling team in the Istanbul (Akmerkez) office. The role reports to the Tax Associate Manager and sits in a high-performing team. It covers tax compliance, filings, risk support and coordination of tax audits.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax compliance obligations and follow up on tax compliance responsibilities
• Prepare and support CIT, VAT, WHT and stamp duty declarations and filings with finance teams and tax advisors
• Monitor changes in local and international tax legislation and assess their impact on the business
• Identify tax risks and uncertain issues and help develop possible resolutions
• Support and coordinate tax audits, including external and internal ones
• Improve tax compliance procedures and processes to reduce tax risks and increase efficiency
• Work with the finance team on workflows and tax queries, and take part in the monthly closing, including quarterly and year-end tax provisions
• Provide day-to-day tax support to business functions and prepare and submit e-ledger filings
• Follow up the VAT refund process, the Investment Incentive Certificate process and the Transfer Pricing Report

Required profile

• 2+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably including tax audit experience in a Big4 or reputable accounting/audit firm
• Bachelor's degree or above in Economics, Finance or Business with a focus on Accounting/Tax
• Good knowledge of Turkish accounting, tax legislation and practices
• Advanced English skills
• CPA, ACCA or other recognised professional qualification is a plus
• Food manufacturing and/or agro-trading experience preferred

• SAP knowledge preferred
• US GAAP knowledge preferred
