Terminal Director

About the role

The Terminal Director will lead the new cryogenic gas import and storage terminal from the final construction phase through commissioning, start‑up, handover and long‑term operation. Reporting to the Joint Venture Board, the role is responsible for building the terminal organization, ensuring operational readiness and delivering a safe, reliable and commercially efficient facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, testing, start‑up and handover activities with the EPC contractor.
• Establish and develop Operations, Maintenance, SHEQ and Administrative teams.
• Implement procedures, training, permits, spare‑parts management and emergency arrangements to achieve operational readiness.
• Foster a strong safety, health, environmental and quality culture across the terminal.
• Assume overall responsibility for the terminal’s operational and financial performance.
• Manage relationships with shareholders, authorities, business partners, neighbouring facilities and the local community.
• Provide regular progress, risk, performance and readiness reporting to the Joint Venture Board.
• Support future growth and expansion of the terminal.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven hands‑on leadership of operations at a high‑hazard facility such as a terminal, refinery, petrochemical plant, gas plant or marine operation.
• Experience with greenfield start‑up or major commissioning projects.
• Experience commissioning a cryogenic gas terminal (LNG/LPG/refrigerated gas/propane) is a strong advantage.
