About the role
GE Aerospace is seeking a motivated Thermal Systems Design Engineering intern to support digitalization, flow and thermal testing, shop‑floor engineering, and CFD simulations. The internship lasts six months with a possible five‑month extension, and candidates must remain active students throughout.
Key responsibilities
- Execute design, analysis, and evaluation tasks using sound engineering principles.
- Run flow and thermal tests, document results, and support shop‑floor projects.
- Develop and run CFD simulations with tools such as ANSYS Fluent or CFX.
- Automate repetitive tasks by writing code (preferably Python).
- Maintain technical documentation in line with engineering policies.
Required profile
- 3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering student (or Master/PhD candidate).
- Solid foundation in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, dynamics, and mechanical design.
- Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
- Good command of English and Turkish (reading/writing).
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
