Yield Manager - Turkey

About the role

G2 Travel, a wholesale tour operator with offices across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America, is looking for a Yield Manager based in Istanbul, Turkey. The role provides commercial support to the Destination Managers in Istanbul, working alongside them on commercial tasks so that G2 Travel can offer the most competitive packages. It reports to a Regional Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Partner internally with the Destination Manager team to ensure close collaboration.
• Audit static and margin contracts from a commercial perspective to ensure they are well set up and competitive.
• Audit margin contracts from a technical perspective so that hotels stay open and selling at all times.
• Perform competitive analysis by running rate shops comparing G2 rates with B2B and B2C partners.
• Analyse reports to spot weaknesses or errors in contracted conditions.
• Hold regular face-to-face meetings with hotel suppliers to build relationships and negotiate special offers and promotions.
• Renegotiate contract conditions to maximise availability at the best price, and obtain extra availability from suppliers.
• Negotiate book-outs and handle general supplier issues as requested by the Destination Manager.
• Assist with basic training initiatives such as extranet training, and help identify new products and offers.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial role such as sales or purchasing within the tourism industry, ideally in Istanbul.
• Fluent Turkish and a strong level of written and spoken English.
• Strong communication skills with suppliers and the team, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Commercial mindset with the ability to analyse data.
• IT proficiency, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
