Development Engineer

About the role

As a Development Engineer at Bosch, you will contribute to shaping beneficial technologies across mobility, consumer goods, industrial, and energy sectors. You will work on innovative solutions that improve quality of life worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and compare solution concepts, define evaluation criteria, and drive design iterations based on test results.
• Plan and execute tests in line with internal standards, ensuring completeness through risk assessment and supplementary testing.
• Act as test champion, standardising test practices, templates, and infrastructure improvements.
• Identify risks early, contribute to root‑cause analysis and technical risk‑management processes.
• Apply and promote design guidelines, norms, and calculation tools within the team.
• Collaborate actively in technical discussions with a preventive mindset.
• Ensure alignment with engineering change‑management processes.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related development engineering discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and HVAC.
• Analytical thinking, strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in an agile environment (sprints, PI planning) and using tools such as JIRA.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with FMEA, 8D, SAP and MS Office.
• Ability to work within international project teams.
