ICT Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an ICT Associate to support its Istanbul Office and associated field sites. Working under the supervision of senior IT staff, the incumbent will coordinate the IT component of all operations, ensuring reliable end‑user support and network functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite end‑user support to IOM staff via email, phone, or in person.
• Assist in the installation, operation, and administration of network equipment, including Cisco Meraki routers, ASA firewalls, access points, and switches.
• Monitor LAN and WAN systems, perform routine maintenance, and address incidents.
• Install, configure, and upgrade desktops, laptops, and software (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, MS Office 2013/2016, O365, and in‑house applications).
• Support security measures for systems and networks, including antivirus protection and email/Internet access controls.
• Install and maintain the PABX telecommunication system, track call usage, and prepare monthly billing.
• Develop and deliver training to end users on new and existing IT solutions.
• Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and up‑to‑date network diagrams in line with IOM standards.

Required profile

• Works under the general supervision of the Senior Resource Management Officer and technical supervision of the Senior IT Assistant.
• Responsible for coordinating IT operations across the Istanbul Office and field locations.
• Demonstrates ability to respond promptly to user issues and to manage network components.
