Payable Accountant

About the role

The Payable Accountant will join the finance team of a global logistics leader, supporting the full spectrum of accounts‑payable and treasury activities. You will act as a key liaison between local stakeholders and shared service centers, ensuring accurate payment processing and strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Match payments with invoices and credit memos, ensuring proper allocation.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare, review, and distribute Statements of Account (SOA) and follow up on aged balances.
• Coordinate invoice processing with Global Business Services teams and act as the main point of contact for AP processes.
• Monitor vendor invoice workflows, track booking status, and support issue resolution.
• Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, and cash‑management activities.
• Prepare daily and weekly payment proposals and execute digital and bank payments.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing through reconciliations, monitoring, and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve process efficiency while maintaining compliance with policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience in Treasury, Accounts Payable, Finance Operations or a similar role.
• Experience coordinating finance processes with Shared Service Centers is a plus.
• Strong command of written and spoken English for regular communication with international stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
