Senior Backend Engineer (Java & .NET)

About the role

CCI is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Digital Technologies team in Istanbul. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance, resilient services that power critical business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement business‑critical features with a focus on performance, stability, and maintainability.
• Write clean, secure, testable, and scalable code following best‑practice standards.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
• Support release processes, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues, analyse logs, and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience developing highly available backend applications.
• Proactive mindset and strong collaboration skills in a fast‑paced, scale‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Java (versions 21‑25), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/JDBC.
• .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework.
• MS SQL Server, complex T‑SQL queries, stored procedures, query optimisation.
• Design and implementation of RESTful JSON APIs, SOA, and Event‑Driven Architecture.
• Application‑level security (OAuth2, JWT) and software design patterns.
• Version control with Git, build automation with Maven.
• Monitoring tools such as Application Insights, Grafana, New Relic.
• Preferred: Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, messaging platforms (Kafka, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
