Assistant Manager Indirect Procurement

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Indirect Procurement is responsible for tactical buying of low‑value items, managing supplier selection from preferred lists, and driving automation of catalog coverage. The role ensures service level agreements are met while supporting the procurement team’s targets and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute tactical buying processes within defined lower thresholds.
• Conduct e‑Sourcing events using Ariba Sourcing.
• Initiate order signature processes and follow‑up distribution to suppliers.
• Approve, modify or reject purchase orders related to tactical buying.
• Run RfQs for potential catalog items and manage contracting with standard templates.
• Support automated buying channel introductions by coordinating suppliers and content specialists.
• Maintain compliance throughout the procurement cycle.

Required profile

• Proficient reading, writing and communication in English.
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract management, compliance and analytics.
• Ability to analyze specifications, influence demand and interact with multiple stakeholders.
• Action‑oriented, solution‑minded team player with strong self‑management.
• Pro‑active mindset for identifying automation opportunities.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, finance, procurement or related field.
• Experience in a shared‑service environment or with SAP Ariba Sourcing is a plus.
