Technical Engineer – Surgical Robotics

About the role

The Technical Engineer will ensure optimal performance, maintenance, and support of robotic surgical systems in healthcare institutions. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to solve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation and configuration of robotic surgical systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues through remote support or on‑site interventions.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Deliver technical training to healthcare professionals and create/up‑date documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with R&D on testing, validation, and feedback for new hardware and software releases.
• Contribute to quality‑assurance processes and assist in investigating product‑related technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (advanced degree a plus).
• Proven experience in technical support or engineering within the medical device industry.
• Familiarity with robotic and control systems is highly desirable.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for on‑site support and installations.
