Accountant – Trading & Contracting

About the role

Just Moya Trading & Contracting is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Istanbul team. The role will handle day‑to‑day accounting, supplier payments, client invoicing, bank reconciliations and project cost tracking across both trading and contracting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, payment requests and record payment entries.
• Maintain accurate Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records.
• Prepare client invoices, follow up on overdue receivables and update Statements of Account.
• Perform bank, cash, supplier and customer account reconciliations.
• Verify invoices against LPOs/POs, quotations and delivery notes before payment.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Project teams on supplier payments, advances and retention.
• Track project‑wise costs, monitor budgets and actual expenditures.
• Prepare payment, receipt, journal vouchers and manage petty‑cash documentation.
• Assist with monthly closing, management reporting and audit preparation.
• Support payroll processing, employee advances and compliance with Turkish accounting and tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, contracting, construction or project‑based environments.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and bank reconciliation.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, suppliers and transactions simultaneously.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of Turkish payroll procedures is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software.
