Accounting Specialist

About the role

Otokoç Otomotiv is seeking an Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate financial processing and compliance with Turkish legislation. The role supports the company’s extensive automotive retail, rental, and service operations across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Execute accounting transactions in line with legislation and internal procedures.
• Perform reconciliation of current accounts and monitor purchase, expense, and advance compliance.
• Record and control daily accounting entries and archive official documents.
• Prepare monthly period‑end entries (depreciation, accruals, periodization, valuation) and generate trial balance control tables.
• Oversee general accounting tasks, track progress, and produce regular reports.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of the Uniform Chart of Accounts and Tax Procedure Law (VUK).
• Preferably experienced with SAP and involved in SAP transition projects.
• Certified Public Accountant (SMMM) certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical, solution‑oriented mindset and disciplined work ethic.

Required skills

• SAP accounting module.
• e‑invoice and e‑dispatch applications.
• Understanding of Uniform Chart of Accounts and VUK legislation.
