AI Architect

About the role

Vodafone is seeking an experienced AI & Data Architect to design, build, and govern end‑to‑end AI and data solutions. You will work with modern lakehouse architectures and hybrid environments to enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI initiatives across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement AI solutions across multiple business domains, including deployment of models and generative AI using foundational LLMs.
• Define and manage data architectures that feed ML models, ensure high data quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Build real‑time and event‑driven data processing pipelines, applying MLOps, DataOps and AIOps principles.
• Establish robust infrastructure to meet SLAs, optimize workflows for petabyte‑scale data in on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and scientists, and collaborate with enterprise architects and stakeholders.
• Implement security and compliance best practices for sensitive data and AI systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
