AI Automation Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer (Python) to join RDC Partner and work with the engineering team of our US‑based fintech partner. The role focuses on building and enhancing AI‑powered agent platforms that automate onboarding, underwriting, risk management, and customer support workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and extend the agent control plane using FastAPI, Pydantic v2, SQLAlchemy 2.0 and PostgreSQL.
• Implement agent rounds with retry budgets, confidence handling, and escalation to human review.
• Build and maintain MCP servers for governed access to external systems such as Microsoft 365, Zoho and web search.
• Enforce data contracts, handle encryption, key rotation and PII redaction in document pipelines.
• Instrument the system with OpenTelemetry and build background work using thread‑based schedulers and advisory locks.
• Contribute to the React/TypeScript operator panel and maintain a comprehensive pytest suite.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience building production services in Python, preferably with an async stack.
• Hands‑on experience with FastAPI (or similar ASGI framework), Pydantic v2, SQLAlchemy 2.0 and PostgreSQL in production.
• Proven work with real LLM applications, tool/function calling, prompt design and handling non‑determinism.
• Strong testing discipline and familiarity with large pytest suites.
• Security‑mindset for personal data, including redaction and audit trails.
