On-Prem Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The On-Prem Infrastructure Engineer supports, maintains and optimizes enterprise datacenter infrastructure, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware, storage, backup and core services. The goal is to deliver stable, secure and high-performing on-premises environments for critical business applications. The role also takes part in an on-call rotation to handle critical incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 in enterprise datacenters.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI, IIS and File & Print services.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi, including clusters, hosts, VMs, vCenter, HA, DRS and vMotion.
• Support SAN/NAS storage, including provisioning, replication and performance tuning.
• Work with backup teams on restore validation, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Monitor, patch, harden and tune servers, virtual machines and storage systems.
• Provide Level 3 support for complex incidents and maintain technical documentation, SOPs and configuration baselines.
• Complete mandatory training and attend regular 1:1 meetings with the manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Windows Server management in enterprise or datacenter settings.
• 3+ years of virtualization administration with Hyper-V and/or VMware vSphere/ESXi in multi-host or multi-cluster environments.
• Ability to work an on-call rotation and respond to critical needs outside normal hours.
• English and Turkish proficiency required.

Required skills

• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, PKI, IIS and core Windows Server roles.
• Enterprise storage such as IBM FlashSystem, Dell PowerStore, NetApp, SAN/NAS, iSCSI, NFS and SMB.
• Backup/restore, disaster recovery, patching, monitoring and performance tuning.
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with ISO, NIST or CIS security frameworks preferred; VMware, Microsoft or Hyper-V certification preferred.
