About the role
Beko is looking for an Associate - Purchasing to join its Purchasing Directorate in Sütlüce, Istanbul. The role covers purchasing strategy, cost-down projects and supplier development for the electronics product group.
Key responsibilities
- Manage purchasing strategy for specific material groups
- Work on cost-down projects to reach annual targets
- Carry out alternative supplier studies to extend the supply base
- Follow and report sector dynamics
- Follow all electronics-related projects of the product group under their responsibility
- Take part in cost analysis and benchmark studies
- Join supplier development projects to increase supplier capability
Required profile
- Senior student or bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; master's degree is a plus
- Experience in electronic components or related engineering fields
- Experience in 6 Sigma projects and vendor management; 6 Sigma belts are a plus
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Ability to follow market trends and new technologies, outside-the-box thinking, teamwork and initiative
