Broadcast Operations Director

About the role

Lead the live broadcast operations for television and web‑based programs at Digiturk, Turkey’s pioneering digital broadcasting platform. You will shape broadcast strategies, manage technical infrastructure and ensure seamless delivery of sports and entertainment content.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate live broadcasts, develop broadcast plans and oversee day‑to‑day facility operations.
• Manage budgeting, financials, equipment maintenance, upgrades and vendor relationships.
• Resolve technical issues quickly, supervise the technical support team and ensure high‑quality service.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and creative teams to implement system updates and custom AV solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred in broadcast systems or engineering.
• 12+ years in broadcast operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in budgeting, resource planning and operational efficiency.
• Fluent English with strong communication and decision‑making skills under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of live broadcast workflows, playout systems and uplink technologies.
• Experience with IP‑based signal transmission and OTT platforms.
• Hands‑on expertise in automation systems, video/audio transmission equipment and fault diagnostics.
