About the role

The Freelance Blogger will create engaging, well‑researched blog posts that showcase The Other Tour’s destinations, experiences, and values. This full‑time, on‑site role requires regular presence in Istanbul to join tours, explore neighborhoods, and gather first‑hand insights.

Key responsibilities

• Research travel and culture topics related to Turkey.
• Interview guides or local partners when needed.
• Write original, SEO‑optimized blog posts for web publishing.
• Update and revise existing articles.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on content ideas and align topics with campaigns and seasonal tours.

Required profile

• Strong writing and blogging skills with clear, engaging narratives.
• Demonstrated research and web content writing abilities.
• Understanding of marketing principles and brand storytelling.
• Excellent command of English; Turkish is a plus.
• Interest in travel, culture, and local storytelling, preferably with tourism or hospitality experience.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and incorporate editorial feedback.
• Portfolio of published travel or culture writing.

Required skills

• Familiarity with blogging platforms such as WordPress.
• Basic SEO best practices.
