Business Controller – Senior Accountant

About the role

Deloitte's Business Process Solutions (BPS) team is seeking a Business Controller (Senior Accountant) to support finance and accounting operations across multiple entities. The role combines day‑to‑day bookkeeping, statutory reporting, and compliance monitoring while contributing to the team’s overall impact on clients and the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and record general ledger entries in line with the uniform chart of accounts and internal policies.
• Submit statutory declarations and legal statements to the appropriate authorities.
• Manage and reconcile customer current‑account balances, including periodic group reconciliations.
• Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, Stamp Tax, Corporate Income Tax).
• Produce group reporting files according to company and group requirements.
• Monitor compliance with local accounting standards, tax legislation, and reporting frameworks such as IFRS/US GAAP.
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing processes to deliver accurate financial statements on time.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Analytical, structured thinking with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
