Business Intelligence Assistant

About the role

Mavi is seeking a Business Intelligence Assistant to join its Global Information Technology department. You will work within a project team to design, develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical solutions that support retail performance monitoring and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL on Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and maintain Lakehouse and Data Warehouse structures.
• Create analytical and semantic models to support business decisions.
• Develop and optimise Power BI datasets, reports and dashboards.
• Plan and execute BI studies to monitor retail business performance.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and reliability across pipelines.
• Troubleshoot data and pipeline issues in collaboration with IT and business teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, MIS or a related field.
• 1–2 years of Business Intelligence experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong understanding of modern data and analytics architectures (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Semantic Models).
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Semantic Models).
• Proficient in SQL (T‑SQL, Spark SQL) and Python for data transformation.
• Solid knowledge of data modelling concepts (relational & dimensional, star schema).
• Experience with Power BI, DAX, and performance optimisation.
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication skills and command of English.
