Business Projects Development Manager

About the role

The Business Projects Development Manager will be based in our Turkey Liaison Office in Istanbul and will drive the identification and creation of new commercial opportunities across energy, petrochemicals, industrial sectors and emerging technologies in Turkey, Tatarstan, Russia and neighboring regions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, analyse and develop new business and economic cooperation opportunities across target geographies.
• Design and launch strategic projects in energy, petrochemicals, refining, natural gas, renewable energy, industrial sectors and advanced technologies.
• Create investment, joint‑venture, technology‑transfer and commercial partnership opportunities.
• Conduct market research, sector analyses and pre‑feasibility/feasibility studies to support investment decisions.
• Coordinate with investors, industrial organisations, public institutions, investment agencies and senior executives.
• Manage end‑to‑end business and project development processes from concept to implementation.
• Lead strategic meetings, investment discussions, trade delegations, fairs and international business events.
• Develop innovative programmes and cooperation models to strengthen commercial relations.
• Prepare and present sector analyses, investment opportunities and project reports to senior management.
• Monitor regional and global economic trends, market developments and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, investment development, international trade or project management.
• Strong understanding of the energy value chain with hands‑on experience in feasibility studies and investment projects.
• Proven track record working with public institutions, investment agencies, large‑scale industrial organisations and senior executives.
• Ability to assess new opportunities, develop robust pre‑feasibility studies and translate analyses into viable projects.
