Chief Steward - Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus

About the role

Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus is hiring a Chief Steward to oversee all stewarding operations and ensure compliance with Hilton standards and local regulations. The role leads and develops the Stewarding Team and keeps back-of-house, kitchen and food and beverage service areas clean and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train, motivate and develop the Stewarding Team to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency.
• Maintain back-of-house, kitchen and food and beverage service areas to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Establish, monitor and enforce sanitation and safety procedures in line with Hilton standards and local legal requirements.
• Manage inventory, storage, distribution and maintenance of operating equipment; coordinate with Culinary, Banquets, Restaurants and Bars so equipment is available when needed.
• Conduct regular stock counts and monitor equipment usage to minimize losses and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, hygiene requirements and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Identify ways to improve productivity, efficiency and cost management, and support banquet and large-scale event operations.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coach staff and collaborate with department heads to uphold Hilton's service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or university degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in stewarding operations within an international hotel environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Good command of English.
