Content Writer Intern

About the role

viravira.co is looking for a Content Writer Intern to support its SEO and content marketing efforts by producing high-quality content for platform pages and its blog. The role suits students, recent graduates or early-career candidates interested in writing, travel, digital content and SEO. Top performers may be considered for full-time positions after the internship.

Key responsibilities

• Research and write SEO-friendly content for landing pages, destination pages, yacht charter guides, blog posts and other website content.
• Create clear, engaging content for users looking for yacht charter and boat rental options.
• Support keyword-based content production according to SEO briefs and content guidelines.
• Update, improve and expand existing website and blog content.
• Research destinations, marinas, sailing routes, yacht types and travel topics online.
• Help prepare meta titles, meta descriptions, headings, FAQs and other on-page SEO elements.
• Work with the marketing and SEO teams so content matches business goals and search intent.
• Use AI and content tools responsibly, check content for grammar, clarity, accuracy, originality and brand tone, and track tasks to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Senior undergraduate or postgraduate student or recent graduate in English Language and Literature, Translation and Interpreting, Linguistics, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Tourism or a related field.
• Excellent command of English and strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Previous internship, freelance writing, blog writing, SEO content writing or editorial experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Interest in travel, marine tourism, sailing, yacht charter and digital platforms is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of SEO principles: keywords, search intent, headings, meta descriptions, internal linking and readability.
• Strong online research skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Docs, Word, Sheets, Excel).
• Familiarity with SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, Surfer SEO) and AI writing tools is a plus; CMS familiarity is a plus.
