Country Medical Manager (Oncology)

About the role

Daiichi Sankyo seeks a Country Medical Manager specializing in Oncology to lead scientific engagement and medical affairs activities across the country. You will act as a bridge between the company’s research portfolio and the external medical community, ensuring that scientific insights are shared responsibly and that the company’s contributions to oncology care are recognized.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and map qualified thought leaders and scientific networks on international, national and regional levels based on pre‑defined segmentation criteria.
• Develop and execute an external stakeholder engagement plan in collaboration with Medical Affairs, Commercial and Market Access teams.
• Build and maintain peer‑to‑peer relationships with key influencers at academic institutions, hospitals and scientific societies.
• Support speakers and influencers in preparing and delivering presentations at congresses and scientific events.
• Convey medical value messages for Daiichi Sankyo’s oncology products and advocate for their contribution to medical practice.
• Provide balanced, non‑promotional scientific information about the company’s pipeline and research programs.
• Use digital technologies and new media to support proactive and reactive communication with the scientific community.
• Develop and implement medical education programs and scientific content in line with corporate requirements.
• Collaborate with internal medical teams to create supporting content for education activities and advisory boards.

Required profile

• Strong scientific background in oncology or related therapeutic areas.
• Proven experience in medical affairs, scientific communication or stakeholder engagement within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent ability to build relationships with key opinion leaders and to represent the company at scientific meetings.
• High level of integrity and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using digital technologies and new media for scientific communication.
• Ability to design, deliver and evaluate medical education programs.
• Strong presentation and scientific writing skills.
