Data Warehouse Data Solution Engineer

About the role

The Financial Companies Data Warehouse team at Garanti BBVA Technology is looking for a Data Solution Engineer. The team shapes the technologies of the future and takes end-to-end responsibility for data solutions, from requirements gathering and analysis through development, testing and production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and perform source system analysis and profiling
• Perform conceptual and logical modelling and prepare source-to-target mappings
• Develop requirements, write unit tests and run functional tests of the software
• Determine data quality measurement rules and coordinate user acceptance tests across business units
• Deploy using the SDLC process, provide post-transition application support, manage change and maintenance requests
• Keep up with technological developments and take end-to-end responsibility for data solutions when needed
• Use AI-powered tools to speed up analysis, development, problem solving and documentation while keeping quality and security standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering or a related field
• At least 6 years of professional experience in data analysis, data warehouse development or data engineering, with hands-on experience in both analysis and development
• Experience in banking or financial services, especially pension and life insurance, investment products, crypto assets or asset management, is a plus
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, collaborative and adaptable mindset

Required skills

• Excellent SQL and PL/SQL, including query optimisation and performance tuning
• Hands-on ETL/ELT development, data integration and transformation
• Enterprise data warehouse architecture, layered data architecture, source-to-target mapping, data quality, governance, lineage and metadata management
• Business requirements analysis, functional and technical analysis, solution design and technical documentation
• Preferred: Oracle OBIEE/OAS and Qlik Sense, Power Designer, Python, cloud data platforms and familiarity with AI-powered tools
