Demand Planning Specialist

About the role

The Demand Planning Specialist will sit at the heart of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for Unilever's Food Business Unit in Turkey. Working closely with customer development, marketing and sourcing teams, you will create integrated volume and sales forecasts, adjust them based on market signals, and ensure downstream supply‑chain operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Generate volume and value forecasts as part of the S&OP cycle.
• Clean and analyse sales data, incorporate marketing activity logs, and build base forecasts.
• Apply statistical models and exception‑based planning to predict demand across different horizons.
• Lead initiatives to improve S&OP processes and digitise forecasting tools.
• Manage inventory levels to maximise service while minimising waste and residual stock.
• Provide performance insights to the Planning Manager and uphold governance guardrails.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a planning or supply‑chain environment is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset with ownership of short, mid and long‑term forecasts.
