Drone Design Engineer — CAD & Prototyping

About the role

OneSec is developing AI‑powered delivery drones that make food delivery faster and cheaper. We are looking for a hands‑on Drone Design Engineer who will turn concepts into detailed SolidWorks models, produce prototypes, assemble them, and iterate based on testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies for autonomous delivery drones.
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings in SolidWorks.
• Produce prototypes using FDM and resin 3D printing, CNC machining, composites, and other fabrication methods.
• Assemble, modify, repair, and test physical drone prototypes.
• Select appropriate materials, fasteners, bearings, adhesives, and manufacturing processes.
• Improve designs for weight, strength, stiffness, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.
• Investigate mechanical failures and rapidly redesign components.
• Collaborate closely with propulsion, electronics, embedded‑software, and flight‑control engineers.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design, or a related technical field.
• Strong SolidWorks or equivalent CAD experience.
• Hands‑on experience designing parts that have been manufactured and assembled.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques such as FDM or resin 3D printing.
• Comfortable using workshop tools (drills, Dremels, saws, adhesives, hand tools).
• Good understanding of mechanical design, materials, tolerances, fasteners, and manufacturing methods.
