Electrical Technician

About the role

As a CBRE Electrical Technician, you will inspect, repair, replace, install, wire, adjust, and maintain all equipment for an assigned location. This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review and follow instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection tasks.
• Advise when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when continued operation is safe.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, and replace electrical equipment while observing all safety precautions.
• Perform mechanical repairs related to the servicing of electrical equipment.
• Install, splice, or replace sections of wire for repairs or temporary installations.
• Execute emergency mechanical repairs without assistance from other maintenance personnel.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems under close supervision.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Ability to meet physical demands, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lb or more.
• Capability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Communication skills for exchanging straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills for calculating simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
