Financial Controlling & Budget Manager

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controlling & Budget Manager to lead global budgeting, financial planning, and cost‑control initiatives for a multinational manufacturing client. The role reports to senior leadership and plays a pivotal part in shaping strategic financial decisions across all regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate worldwide budgeting and financial planning processes aligned with corporate strategy.
• Provide financial insights, cost projections, and scenario analyses to support long‑term decision‑making.
• Oversee budget performance, conduct variance analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop robust forecasts, product costing, and inventory valuation models.
• Evaluate financial feasibility of new investments, projects, and product developments on a global scale.
• Consolidate and analyze group‑level financial data, ensuring consistency and transparency.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and global reporting standards, preparing high‑quality reports for senior leadership.
• Establish and monitor KPI frameworks, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement in finance processes.
• Lead internal and external audit activities and support SAP and finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial controlling, budgeting, and analysis within complex, preferably manufacturing, environments.
• Strong background in financial reporting, audit processes, and IFRS compliance.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop finance teams.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
