General Maintenance Technician

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of its property vehicles and equipment. The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and documentation to ensure safe and efficient operations across the hotel campus.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on engineering trucks, shuttle vans, and electric carts, including oil checks, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging, and spark‑plug replacement.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, cleaning and lubricating as required.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, requisitioning items when needed.
• Log daily operation, maintenance, and safety activities, recording test results, instrument readings, and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards, complete required safety training, and store flammable materials properly.
• Communicate professionally, prepare accurate documentation, and answer telephone inquiries.
• Assist with physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and positioning objects up to 50 lb.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 2 years related maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and follow safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate logs.
