General Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

JW Marriott Istanbul Marmara Sea is looking for an accomplished General Manager to lead one of Turkey’s premier luxury hospitality destinations. The role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence to deliver outstanding guest experiences while driving revenue, profitability, and long‑term asset value.

Key responsibilities

• Drive overall hotel performance, meeting revenue, profit, market‑share and owner‑return targets.
• Lead commercial strategy across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Events, Wellness and ancillary revenue streams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management and Distribution teams to optimise market positioning.
• Identify new business opportunities and implement innovative growth initiatives.
• Ensure delivery of exceptional luxury guest experiences in line with JW Marriott brand standards.
• Maintain operational discipline, quality assurance, compliance with Marriott policies and local regulations.
• Build, inspire and develop a diverse, high‑performing leadership team aligned with Marriott’s values.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience as General Manager in a luxury upscale hotel.
• Proven success managing large, complex hotel operations with significant revenue responsibility.
• Strong commercial background with a track record of revenue growth and profitability.
• Experience managing owner relationships and achieving financial performance objectives.
• Strategic, commercially‑minded leader with strong financial acumen and analytical capability.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and change‑leadership skills.
• Inspiring people leader with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
